We Need Better Policies, Not More Political Attacks

If the issues we face as a city were not so serious – the non-stop attack attacks you are now seeing in your mailbox and on your screens would just be a silly distraction.
My opponent in the race for mayor is a career politician who is trying to distract attention from her record of failure on homelessness, crime, and a near total lack of any meaningful accountability in government. She is falling behind in the polls as nearly 40,000 voters have now joined our campaign for common sense ¬– and her reaction has been to launch a new attack nearly every day.

I can “respond” quickly. None of it is true. I know that’s a short answer. But that’s the complete answer – the attacks are simply political fabrications from a failing political campaign.
What you are seeing is just a desperate politician taking special interest money and using it to throw anything she can think of against the wall to see what sticks.
Our campaign for change is offering concrete solutions to address homelessness in a smarter way, hire more police and approach safety by addressing the root causes of crime, and to make sure our local government is accountable to results. We are proposing real plans for change. She is responding with one of the most negative campaigns this city has seen in many years.
We’re going to keep fighting for change. Our real opponent is not one career politician – it is the failed policies that have led to higher crime, more homelessness, dirty streets and the failure of the political establishment to hold itself accountable to results.
If it is change you want – I hope you will join us.
