How do I vote early?

  • There are several ways to vote early! 
  • Early voting at the Registrar of Voters’ Office is available on: 
    • Monday through Friday on May 9, 2022 to June 6, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Saturdays and Sundays on May 28, 2022, May 29, 2022,  June 4, 2022, and June 5, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • You can also vote at the Registrar of Voters’ Office on Election Day (June 7th) between 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

How soon can I drop off my ballot?

  • Starting May 9 through 8 p.m. on Election Day (June 7th), you can drop off your ballot at any 24 Hour Official Ballot Drop Box in Santa Clara County. You can visit this link to find your closest Official Ballot Drop Box or access a full list of locations in Santa Clara County.

When are polling places open to vote in person?

  • Vote Centers open May 28. You have 11 days, including Election Day, to vote at any Vote Center. 
    • 11-Day Vote Centers are open between May 28 – June 6, 2022  from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Election Day, June 7, 2022  from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    • Additional 4-day Vote Centers will open on June 4 through June 6, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Election Day, June 7, 2022  from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Can I vote at any Vote Center?

  • You can cast your ballot at any Vote Center in Santa Clara County. All Vote Centers follow current health and safety guidelines and are prepared to assist voters with disabilities. Vote Center staff can also help voters update their voter registration information and provide instructions in multiple languages.

When is the last day to mail in my ballot?

  • ​​Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day, June 7, and be received within seven days after the election to be counted.

I forgot to sign my ballot! What should I do?

  • If you forgot to sign your ballot, you will receive an “Unsigned Ballot Statement” form in the mail requesting you sign and return it by the date on the notice.

How late can I drop off my ballot to the Official 24-Hour Ballot Drop Boxes?

What if I need a replacement ballot?

  • If you did not receive your Vote by Mail ballot, misplaced it, or made an error when filling it out, you can request a new ballot.
    • To receive a new ballot by mail: You can request a new ballot to be mailed to you by calling the Registrar of Voters at (866)430-VOTE (8683), emailing [email protected], or submitting a Vote-By-Mail Bal​lot Application Form to the Registrar of Voters by mail or fax. You can also complete a Vote by Mail Ballot Application Replacement Request Form online receive a new ballot by mail. 
      • The last day to request a Vote by Mail Ballot Replacement by mail is May 31, 2022. 
    • To receive a new ballot in-person: After then, you can still visit the Registrar of Voters office or any Vote Center to get a replacement ballot.
  • To receive a new ballot online: Visit the Remote Accessible Vote by Mail System (RAVBM) to download and print a ballot that can be returned by mail.

  • You can check this link to see if you’re currently registered to vote in the upcoming election.
  • You have until May 23 to register to vote in California online or postmark date for mail registration. If you miss this deadline, the Registrar of Voters’ Office and all Vote Centers will offer in-person Conditional Voter Registration through Election Day.
